Booking conditions & GTC

The following terms and conditions apply to the rental of a pitch for a mobile home, caravan or tent or for the rental of a sleeping barrel between the guest and Campinganlage Gut Kalberschnacke GmbH (hereinafter referred to as the landlord). They supplement the provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB) on rental contract law in accordance with §§ 535 BGB ff.

Formation of the contract

  1. The contract between the guest and the landlord is concluded with the acceptance of the registration on site in the case of a spontaneous arrival or with the electronic sending of the booking confirmation by the landlord.
  2. A pitch/tent pitch is used to set up a camping unit (a caravan or motorhome or a tent). A small additional tent of maximum 2×2 m may be placed on the pitch free of charge. This is stated in the Camping and Weekend Pitches Ordinance §2 No. 1-3. A second pitch must be booked for people with a second household.
  3. A maximum of 3 parties traveling together (e.g. couples or couples with children) can book a pitch. Group bookings are not possible on the campsite.
  4. For minors, the contract is concluded with a legal representative (parent or other legal representative) and the minor him/herself. The legal representative is therefore directly authorized and obligated in addition to the minor and must be present during the stay. Under-18s must be accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian.
  5. The guest arriving with a motorhome or caravan undertakes to present a valid gas test certificate on request upon arrival.

Payment

  1. When booking online, payment is made directly at the end of the booking process.
  2. When booking via the campsite's reservation request, payment must be made directly at check-in.
  3. In the event of a shortened stay or expulsion, the invoice amount already paid will not be refunded.

Cancellation and withdrawal

  1. It is pointed out that the guest - regardless of the type of booking method and the duration of the stay - has no general statutory right of termination or revocation free of charge with regard to the concluded rental agreement. Professional or private reasons also do not release the guest from paying the agreed accommodation price.
  2. The guest must notify us in writing of their wish to cancel. In the event of a withdrawal, the following flat-rate charges apply (as a percentage of the invoice amount)
    a. up to 60 days before arrival: 10%
    b. 59 to 30 days before arrival: 40%
    c. 29 to 7 days before arrival: 80%
    d. in the event of later withdrawal or no-show: 100%
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
  3. In the event of the assertion of flat-rate cancellation costs, the guest is permitted to prove to the landlord that no or significantly lower costs were incurred. In this case, the guest is only obliged to pay the lower costs.

Arrival and departure

  1. The booked pitch, campsite or rental property is available to the guest from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. Other arrival requests require the consent of the landlord.
  2. In the event of arrival after 6 p.m. on the day of arrival, the guest is obliged to inform the landlord of this in good time. If this is not done, the landlord is entitled to occupy the pitch/tent site or the rental property from 6 p.m. on the day of arrival if a single overnight stay has been booked, or from 11 a.m. on the following day if several overnight stays have been booked.
  3. Unless otherwise agreed, the pitch or tent pitch must be vacated by the guest by 11.30 a.m. on the day of departure and the rented accommodation by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure. The guest must leave the campsite immediately after vacating the pitch or rental property.

Extraordinary termination/force majeure

  1. If the landlord is unable to make the pitch or the rental property available due to force majeure unforeseeable at the time of conclusion of the contract, which significantly impedes, jeopardizes or impairs the execution of the contract, he may terminate the contract. The guest shall have no claims. The landlord is obliged to inform the tenant immediately of the unavailability of the pitch or property.
  2. Furthermore, the landlord may terminate the contract extraordinarily if the guest behaves in breach of contract (e.g. violates the site rules or uses the rental property in breach of contract), so that the termination or exclusion is justified by the special interest of the landlord. In this case, the invoice amount already paid will not be refunded.

Animal husbandry

  1. Animals, in particular dogs, cats and the like, may only be kept or temporarily kept by the guest on the campsite with the express permission of the landlord. Permission is only valid for individual cases. It can be revoked if inadequacies occur.
  2. Dogs must always be kept on a lead, even at their own tent or pitch. Dogs must be walked outside the campsite. If the dog gets loose on the campsite grounds, the excrement must be removed immediately. It is forbidden to take your pet onto the playgrounds of the campsite and into the sanitary buildings - the dog shower is exempt from this ban.
  3. Listed dogs and dangerous dogs according to the NRW State Dog Law are not permitted on the campsite.
