Hiking
The Sauerland is a hiker's paradise. There is an excellent network of hiking trails around the campsite. We will be happy to advise you on scenic hiking trails. Many of them lead directly past Kalberschnacke. One highlight is certainly the KuLTour hiking trail, a LandArt circular hiking trail that starts below the campsite, at the Kalberschnacke hiking car park.
Art and landscape
The KuLTour is a special hiking trail. The "K" stands for art, the "L" for landscape. Hikers will find art in the landscape on an exciting circular route of approx. 7 kilometres. Here, nature can be rediscovered again and again...

The starting point of the circular trail is the hiking car park near the kiosk in Kalberschnacke. Look out for the signpost for the KuLTour .

Cycling
Our region offers something for all cycling enthusiasts. Whether you are travelling by mountain bike, racing bike, touring bike or eBike, whether you are an ambitious athlete or want to do something as a family: You will find both tarmac routes and forest trails, with or without gradients. Furthermore, the route network is very clearly organised in a node system .

Jogging, Nordic walking & skating
For skaters, we recommend parts of the Lister-Bigge circular route, which starts directly below the campsite (total length 27.2 km). The route is suitable for beginners up to the barrier wall of the Listersee (approx. 4 km easy), but due to a few metres in altitude, skating skills are required from this point onwards.
This route is also suitable for jogging. Nordic walkers can also be found on the edge path.
Those who prefer jogging or walking on tar-free surfaces will find a large selection of suitable routes around the campsite.
Motorbike riding
Motorcyclists are welcome in Kalberschnacke. Many people enjoy riding their motorbike through the countryside alone or in a group. Sauerland Tourism offers tour suggestions on its website.
Winter sports
In winter, the nearby „Olpe Fahlenscheid“ winter sports area offers pure skiing and tobogganing fun.
The The Sauerland winter sports arena offers a complete overview of the individual Sauerland ski areas and also provides up-to-date information on open lifts and snow depths.

Excursions
Into the cave, by boat or into the Wild West
There is a wide range of attractions and excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity of Gut Kalberschnacke and Lake Listersee, such as the Elspe-Festival, the stalactite cave in Attendorn and Round trips with the passenger boat on the Biggesee.
The Biggesee climbing park or the Biggeblick in Attendorn are the right places for those who want to get up high!

Charming little towns in the surrounding area
The surrounding towns such as Drolshagen, Olpe and Attendorn invite you to take a stroll. Numerous boutiques have a selected range of products ready for you. You will receive friendly and competent advice - stress-free shopping. We also recommend Freudenberg with its picturesque town centre of half-timbered houses, which is also known beyond the region.
