Around the lake

Our campsite is situated as a terrace above the Listersee, a side arm of the Biggesee. While our campsite does not have direct access to the lake, you can easily reach the lake via an approx. 100m long footpath and find many activities such as swimming, fishing, SUPing and much more.

Listersee

Kalberschnacke is located directly on Lake Listersee. The Listersee is one of the oldest reservoirs in the Sauerland. The dam wall was built in 1912. The lake is used to supply drinking water and is designated as a bathing lake. Since the construction of the Biggetal dam, Lake Lister has been a tributary of Lake Bigge.

There is a generally accessible slipway below the Gut Kalberschnacke campsite. Our campsite has its own jetty for sailing boats. Jetties can be hired from April to October. The wind conditions on Lake Listersee are ideal for surfing. More and more stand-up paddlers are now travelling on the lake. SUPs can be hired directly from reception.
